Background Theme: The overall shape of this piece and its constituent units that form a raft like structure is a symbol of escape freedom and adventure. Each lilo references the individual human body, their separation our desire for the individual, authentic holiday experience whilst their linking suggests something shared. The work also references the dreamlike timeless state that holiday engender, we are transported to another reality, here where we indulge and rest ourselves time passes differently from time at home.

Project Engagement: The artist will engage the audience directly as they walk between the piece and will be encouraged to photograph themselves on the work either individually of in family groups creating a permanent record of the work.
